SIMUNYE – Age is just a number. Age did not discourage 3-years-old Christine Olivier from conquering the 5km Resolution Run that was held at Hlane Royal National Park on Saturday.

The young runner finished shortest race in 46:42minutes, two minutes earlier than her mother Hylie. The young enthusiast runner was position 28 in the overall 5km race that saw 71 participants.
Her brother Stephan, 5-years-old was also the youngest in the male category. He finished the race in 46:39 minutes and got position 27 in the overall race.

Christine said she enjoyed the race and encouraged her colleagues to partake in such races.
“It was fun all the way, it was an awesome experience running with my mother and seeing the animals in the jungle. I will denifinately join this race next year,” the young and shy Olivier said.

Meanwhile, her mother, Hylie said engaging in outdoor activities did not only help the child to be exposed but it also help them to stay fit and healthy.

Both the youngest female and male runners received prizes in form of vouches.
The oldest runner was Swazi Slojos Paul Taylor who also got goodies from the organisers.
