MBABANE – It has emerged that the anonymous Sigcaweni Zonal League sponsors are former Red Lions Director Ngudze Mamba and former Cabinet Minister Mahlaba Mamba.

This was confirmed by the league PRO, Sandla Fakudze yesterday.
“First, the people of Sigcaweni felt that it was their responsibility to  ensure that  they play their role in achieving His Majesty’s dream of 2022.

Instead of complaining  that  there are no sponsors, we  planned on how we can  raise funds and good people from the area volunteered to pump in E50 000 for the Sigcaweni Zonal League, and these are Moses Tsabedze, Ngudze Mamba and former Dvokodweni MP Mahlaba Mamba,” Fakudze said.

He further said they were grateful to the trio for the kind gesture.
“We need more people like them in this area, who will help develop our sport from grassroots level. The champions will receive E10 000, while runners-up will pocket E7 000 with bronze medalist getting E5 000,” he said.

The Lubombo promotional league has 18 teams. Currently leading the pack is Sisonkhe on 24 points after 13 games. This is after they licked Dangerous XI 3-0 to maintain the pole position. Powerful Heroes are tied on 23 points with Easy Choppers, P.G. Rangers but they have superior than the duo.
