E10 000 FOR MKHIWENI FROM CITY OFFICE MACHINES

MBABANE – City Office Machines is investing in the youth of the country.

The company has sponsored Mkhiweni Promotion League teams with a sponsorship worth about E10 000 for a festive soccer tournament.

The tournament, to be played by 22 teams, kicks-off on Saturday at Mkhiweni Sports Ground with the finals on New Year’s Day. City Office Machines Managing Director Gavin Moir said this is the time to engage the youth in positive activities so that they avoid mischief.

He said there is a lot that will be going on during the festive season and as a company, they would like to see the youth playing games and doing positive things other than engaging in drinking alcohol and smoking.
“This is part of our social development. There are lot of stakeholders who made sponsorships request but we cannot afford to cater for all of them. This tournament will assist in keeping the youth of Mkhiweni off the streets during the festive holidays and they will be entertaining those who won’t be playing,” he said.

The sponsorship includes bags of oranges, 60 T-shirts, 60 water bottles and the champion’s soccer kit.
Mkhiweni Promotion League Chairman Doctor Mndzebele said he is confident that the people of Mkhiweni will add value to City Office Machines. He said they are happy that winners will be presented with a new soccer kit.

“We are proud of companies like City Office Machines as they give back to the nation. We believe that people from Mkhiweni and around the country will support such companies,” he said.
