ROVERS BEAT ACES, MAINTAIN 2ND SPOT

MBABANE – Mhlambanyatsi Rovers’ dream of reviving their lost glory began in earnest against their sworn rivals, Bhunya Black Aces.

This, after they beat Aces 1-0 in a tightly contested match during the MP Jele Usutu Promotional League played at Bhunya Stadium on Sunday. The win ensured Rovers maintained the second spot while Aces were denied a chance to go fifth in the 17-team league log standings. ‘Bafana Bemcwasho’ are now on 15 points after seven games, while Aces are perched on the seventh spot after five games out of nine. Log leaders Othandweni Swallows were held to a 1-all draw with Lamgabhi Young International. In other interesting matches, fourth placed Ngogodla Young Stars humbled Javas 3-0, while Luhleko Revengers suffered their second loss at the hands of Commandos. Komadi Superstars, a team owned by Lamgabhi MP, Sicelo Jele recorded their third win of the season, beating Zondwako Killers 3-2.
