MAVUSO SPORTS CENTRE TOO EXPENSIVE FOR SNBA

EZULWINI – MTN has reignited basketball. But like every project, it has come with difficulties for the Swaziland National Basketball Association (SNBA) despite a historic E250 000 endorsement from Swazi MTN.

The Mavuso Sports Centre rentals for match days have taken a large chunk of the sponsorship according to SNBA president Nhlanhla ‘Kid’ Maphanga.

Maphanga was speaking during the Swaziland National Basketball League (SNBL) prize presentation at Mahlalekhukhwini House in Ezulwini.

He appealed to Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs David ‘Cruiser’ Ngcamphalala, who graced the event along with senior officers in the ministry, to look into the big rentals that are associated with the government owned facility.

In his address, Minister Ngcamphalala said; “The issue of Mavuso Sports Centre is not a complicated one. You can come with your team to my office and we address it before consulting with the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade (Jabulani Mabuza). He is a good man.”
