LOBAMBA – Mbabane Swallows and 2016/17 MTN league top goal-scorer Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa is missed by local fans.

The fans interviewed on Sunday during the MTN grand opening said they missed the player and they are sure that he would have easily banged in the hat-trick. The league sponsor; MTN had set aside E10 000 for the player who could have scored a hat-trick and unfortunately none of the players managed to bang in those three goals. The only player who almost came close to scoring three goals was Green Mamba’s Banele Mdluli, who scored a brace to inspire his side to a 5-1 win against Manzini Wanderers on Sunday. Moneni Pirates midfielder Sihle Ndaba scored the solitary winning goal through a penalty, to help the Buccaneers record a 1-0 win over struggling Midas City while Sifiso Mabila also found the back of the net to inspire Mbabane Swallows to a 1-0 victory against Mbabane Highlanders. Mbabane Highlanders supporter Silevu Bhembe asserted that only Sikhali could have scored the hat-trick.

“He is Swaziland top striker and can score goals like nobody’s business. Sikhali could have destroyed my team Highlanders, we missed him and we wish him a speedy recovery,” Bhembe said. Mbabane Swallows number one fan Linda ‘Sthawula’ Tsela shared the same sentiments. “If Sikhali was around he could have scored a hat-trick against Highlanders. He was the league top goal scorer last season and it really hurt that he has not played even one game this new season. We do hope he will recover and score those goals for Swallows,” Tsela said. Green Mamba number one supporter Sipho Matsebula said even though Banele almost scored the hat-trick, Sikhali could have easily done that.
“He has scored against tough opponents like AC Leopards and Platinum Stars in the CAF Confederations Cup so that is why I believe if he was around he could have easily won that E10000,” Matsebula said.
