MANZINI – The much talked about change of Manzini Wanderers registration from a company to an association has been put on hold amid difficulty in the process.

It was gathered during the team’s meeting at Manzini Library on Sunday that a current director at the club allegedly emerges in the Form J with the Register of Companies, making the whole process complex. As a way forward, the supporters will approve the team’s new constitution that will have clauses among them, the time of office of directors and the procedure used thereof for one to be the head honcho.

Council of Elders Chairman Sipho Ntshalintshali revealed that among things that were to be enlightened by Percy Mngometulu in the meeting was the difficulty in the change process, putting it on hold while sorting the directorship structure.

“We can only work on how to clean-up the structures instead of destroying the whole institution. We like it or not, they are currently the team’s directors and Mngometulu was going to say there will be no association change for now,” Ntshalintshali said.

Mngometulu, the man supporters entrusted with the team did not show-up in the meeting along with the team directors Bheki Shongwe, Peter Mathaba and Sandile ‘Chief’ Dlamini.  The maroon and white giants are enduring internal squabbles despite promising performances from the team under the guidance of Nyanga ‘Crooks’ Hlophe.

Supporters are of the view that new directors must be brought in as the current ones were playing hide and seek despite calling them to the meeting.

“It is clear the current directors are dribbling us and why would they call us to this meeting and not attend. The council of elders and the NSC (National Supporters Committee) must get new directors for the team,” said one fan from the floor as chairman of the meeting Majayivane Dlamini, the NSC Chairman opened gates for inputs.
