HIGHLANDERS MUST PUT THEIR HOUSE IN ORDER!

My dearest readers ... Whisper it! Mbabane Highlanders directorship structure is a house divided right in the middle.
They may not admit it. They might sweep the dirt under the black carpet.

They may even pour scorn and ridicule on this grandson of Mlonyeni for stating the blindingly obvious, but the cracks are beginning to show.
Long before the team was announced as one of the benefactors of the mega Swazi Mobile E10.5 million sponsorship, there were already some issues that played themselves out on the public gallery which unfortunately revealed that the right hand does not seem to know what the left hand is doing at Highlanders’ corridors of power.

First, it was the appointment of club spokesperson, the pelvis-gyrating Paul ‘Magidzeludzakeni’ Masilela, who dances like a hippo with a spear on its back, which seems to have not got the full blessing of the Board of Directors. No sooner had ‘Magidzeludzakeni’ started attending SPTC Charity Cup roadshows and SBIS Sports show, one of the directors hinted he had been relieved of his duties. One of the weekly rags even carried the story. Blimey, ‘Magidzeludzakeni’ was dancing like nobody was watching in the opening resounding 4-1 win over Manzini Wanderers.  He still talks a mouthful on behalf of the club.

Then there is the issue of the preferred playing kit for the ‘Black Bull’. It seems like it depends on the weather on which brand the team wears. Even a chameleon cannot keep up with the changes of the Highlanders playing kit brand. One day it is an Adidas top, Puma socks, the next it is a Kappa apparel (bought by SPTC for the Charity Cup) and Puma shorts.
