USDF CONTINUE DOMINANCE IN FSRA MARATHON

LOBAMBA – The Umbutfo Swaziland Defence Force (USDF) Athletics Club long distances dominance continues unabated.

The army team made podium finishes in all main categories again in this year’s Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) marathon staged in Lobamba at the Football Association (FA) Technical Centre. The USDF Club is under the tutelage of Captain Sipho Vilakati. Mfanzile ‘Fash’ Dlamini managed second place in the 42km main race, clocking 2:27:56 with young sensation and national team runner Khanyisile Hlatjwako winning the female 10km on 41:11 and teammates Zethu Thwala and Sibongakonkhe Dlamini completing the top three on 43:35 and 44:08 minutes, respectively.   
Runners are now turning their focus on October 10’s Imbube Marathon.
