NOKULUNGA WINS 3 AWARDS IN TRADE FAIR TOURNAMENT

MANZINI – Correctional’s Nokulunga Kunene is simply exceptional.

Kunene won three individual awards in the Swaziland International Trade Fair (SITF) volleyball tournament. The tournament was jointly sponsored to the tune of E15 000 by Swaziland Investment Promotion Authority(SIPA) and Population Service International (PSI).Correctional were champions  in both male and female categories and they walked away with E2 000 each. Kunene won The Most Valuable Player, Best Attacker and Best Blocker award. Others who won in the female individual category were Afi Dlamini, who won the best server award while the Best Setter and Defender award went to RSP’s Phetsile Nxumalo and Correctional‘s Nqobile Dladla respectively. Speaking after receiving the awards, Kunene thanked her teammates for the support.

“Without my teammates I could have not won these awards. I am positive that even next year we will defend this tournament,” Kunene said. Meanwhile, in the male individual category Correctional players won almost in all the categories except in the Best Blocker award which went to RSP’s Brendan Dlamini. Swaziland National Volleyball Association Vice President Phinda Dlamini thanked the sponsor for supporting them. “We appreciate what SIPA and PSI has done for us. This does not only promote the sport but it helps it to develop and all thanks to the teams who gave their best during the tournament,” Dlamini said.
