MBABANE – It’s done and official now – Papy Kabamba has completed his transfer to Tanzanian elite side Young Africans.

Information sourced from Young Africans’ website yesterday was that the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) midfielder was now registered with the club and ready to make his debut as his club looks to defend the Vodacom League title.
The former Mbabane Swallows star signed a two-year contract which Yanga, as the club is affectionately known, are ready to extend when it expires.
“We have signed and registered Papy and he’s already in Zanzibar to join the rest of the squad which is already organising itself for the new season,” Yanga’s Secretary Boniface Mkwasa told Goal.com.

He said that they were happy to complete the player’s registration and said his position gave them the strength the squad needs in its long term plans for the next three seasons. He said Papy was a good signing with great potential.
Mkwasa laid out their intentions, including defence of the league title said they were also looking at stunning Simba next week when the two sides meet in the National Football League in the National Stadium in Dar er Salaam.

He further said while their preseason friendlies did not go well, they believed they had made the right signings for George Lwandamina to build a solid squad for the next three seasons. Efforts to establish the transfer fee failed as Swallows’ Chairman Victor Gamedze who handles all players’ transfers in the red and white camp did not respond to calls when sought for comment yesterday.
