MANZINI – Midas Mbabane City are not taking the loss of their seven sold players lying down.

The elite side last month held its general assembly and put in place new directors, excluding outgoing Chairman Polycarp Dlamini, who they had already announced his term in office was over. In the assembly, they resolved to probe the transfer of seven players Dlamini sold to Mbabane Swallows and elite rookies Vovovo FC.

Swallows bought striker Simanga Shongwe and defender Ndumiso ‘Tower’ Ndaba, while the others went to Vovovo. As the probe goes on, the new directors currently chaired by lawyer Bongani ‘Bhanyaza’ Mdluli met Dlamini last Thursday.
It was gathered that the meeting was partly for Polycarp and Caleb to state their positions in as far as working with the new directors was concerned and also hand over the team’s assets like playing cards and kits.

“The club wants answers and verily believes none of the seven transferred players will go anywhere,” said a close source.
When the concerned parties were called to confirm if the meeting took place, they all did.
The club Secretary of the Board of Directors Bongani ‘Bhanyaza’ Mdluli said it was partly a handover meeting but most importantly it was the issue of players, mainly how they left the club to Swallows and Vovovo.

“The team must have a foundation but as other directors of the team even in last term, we don’t know of the transactions,” he said.
He said they ‘must finalise’ that and the Midas City constitution was clear about players’ transfers which calls for the involvement of all directors for approval.
