MBABANE - Police College Pool Club is certainly keeping the fires burning in the pool off-season in Manzini.

The Manzini Regional Pool Association  (MRPA) Central Zone League runners-up will host South African side Gauteng Province next month on Umhlanga Holiday.

“We are yet to get guidance on the holiday but our visitors requested to come during the Umhlanga activities so they can also get a taste of the event,” Police College’s Captain Constable Norman Khoza said.

He said August and September were busy months in the country for tourism, which was why the South Africans chose the Umhlanga Holiday.

“We’ll play them at the College before we then allow all Swazi players to compete with the South Africans in an open Singles Tournament,” he said. He also revealed that the South Africans would be bringing a ladies team as well which they will also play against at the College.
He encouraged local players to join them at the college for a taste of international competition but details would be released in due course.
