FIFA YOUTH COACHING COURSE WILL IMPROVE FOOTBALL – FA

EZULWINI – Grassroots level development is a good recipe for success in football.


This was observed by no less a person in retained National Football Association of Swaziland (NFAS) President Adam ‘Bomber’ Mthethwa, as the country hosted a FIFA MA Youth Coaching Course.
The opening ceremony for the event was yesterday at Emtfonjeni Building in Lobamba and the course will end on Friday. There are 28 coaches from both the Premier League and National First Division League. FIFA has sent former South African Football Association (SAFA) Technical Director and former Bloemfontein Celtics mentor Serame Letsoaka, who is a FIFA Coaches Instructor.


 “I’m confident that after the course, you will go all out to implement what you learned in the five days and that will in turn improve the standard of football in the country. I’m happy to see familiar faces here who all along had been working hard on development,” he said.


FA CEO Fredrick Mngomezulu said the course was vital because the future of the beautiful game relied on the competence of today’s youth, who should be properly nurtured.


“Football is a dynamic game of which such courses play a vital role in matching the latest trends in the game of football, hence the need to adequately train the coaches to augment their significant role in youth coaching,” he said.
The topics for this course include, Structuring a Training Session, the Youth; and Fitness for Young Players, just to mention a few. Present during the opening included PLS COO Pat Vilakati, Technical Director Bizzah Mkhonta and FIFA instructor Serame Letsoale.
