‘FASH’, ‘MLABA’ FOR ‘BULL’

MBABANE – The season has just ended but faltering giants Mbabane Highlanders are wasting no time by scouting for players – what else can you do when you get relegated twice in three years?

The black and white giants, who were lucky enough that their second demotion came at a time when the PLS would decide to increase teams to 14 next season, are expecting to reunite with their striker and admirer from childhood Mfanufikile ‘Fash’ Ndzimandze.
Ndzimandze has been away for three seasons as he left for Moneni Pirates when Highlanders returned from the First Division two seasons ago. Also set to join him is Manzini Sundowns midfielder Mlamuli ‘Mlaba’ Nkambule.

Both confirmed they were out of contract at their clubs even though they were still open to negotiations.
“No, not yet,” Nkambule said when first asked about the latest news. However, when he realised the information had been leaked, he then went on to say; “If they give me a good offer than Sundowns I will certainly consider it.” He said for now it was nothing official but yes, he was in talks with the black and white ensemble. Interestingly, when striker ‘Fash’ was reached, he was in the company of his potential teammates at Highlanders next season.

“It’s quite premature right now to say much and as a player I would like to comment once everything has been finalised,” he said. He insisted that he was still a Pirates player in spite of the fact that he had seen through his contract but if they still wished to have him, he could still consider their offer in comparison to what his former club puts on the table.
