MBABANE – After having spent 18 days behind bars, popular Mbabane Swallows fan Linda ‘S’thawula’ Tsela will finally get to watch his beloved ‘Beautiful Birds’ in action against MC Alger at Somhlolo National Stadium on Friday.

This comes after Mbabane Swallows supporters paid his E2 000 bail which was set by High Court Judge Mbutfo Mamba. He became a free man yesterday. Judge Mamba had reduced Tsela’s sentence to five years imprisonment or a fine of E5 000.

The court further ordered that the sum of E3 000 he paid as bail be converted to form part of the fine.
The arguably number one Swallows fan when reached for comment said he was over the moon.

“I can’t believe that I will be watching my favourite team Mbabane Swallows in action again after missing two games. Firstly, I want to thank the supporters who facilitated this. They have been supporting me since my arrest early in May and I am grateful to have this wonderful family at Mbabane Swallows,” said Tsela.

Mbabane Swallows National Supporters Committee secretary Jackson Dlamini confirmed that the team’s supporters raised money for Tsela’s bail.
“He is part of Mbababane Swallows family and we raised this amount for his bail. We wanted to see him in the stadium watching his favourite team, and on Friday he will be there,” said Dlamini. The secretary, however, warned other fans against violence in stadiums.

“We strongly do not advocate for violence in football stadiums and we want to urge our fans or football fans in general to accept results regardless of whether their teams won or lost,” added Dlamini.
