WE ARE BLANK ABOUT MKHWELI SACKING - FA

MBABANE – It would seem Mbabane Swallows’ sacked defender Sanele Mkhweli’s place in the national team Sihlangu remains intact for now.
Mkhweli is and has been a regular member of the history-making Sihlangu under then coach Harries ‘Madze’ Bulunga.

New coach Pieter De Jongh included him in his current squad, which is in a two-week camp. “We have only read about his situation in the press which makes it hard to say anything,” FA Media and Communications Officer Muzi Radebe said when asked if the player would still be allowed to join camp.

Mkhweli is currently estranged and was conspicuously missing yesterday in the late acting CEO Sibusiso Manana’s memorial service while the team had attended.
“We are as good as blank as we’ve not received anything formal. What we know is no Swallows player is in camp due to CAF engagement,” Radebe insisted.

Mkhweli had said on Wednesday that he was ready for anything. He said if after meeting the club’s management the decision stands, then he would be ready to move on.
Swallows boss Victor ‘Maradona’ Gamedze pulled the trigger on the player away in Tunisia after their 0-1 defeat to CS Sfaxien.
He is said to have led a riot by players along with three others before they left the country last Thursday.
