Mbabane –mbabane highlanders supporters are calling for a ‘modernised’ constitution.

The decision to review the constitution comes in the wake of the ban of patrons and elders by the Premier League of Swaziland (PLS) in the past week. In yesterday’s gathering held behind closed doors at La Casserole in Mbabane, it was resolved that the team’s constitution be revised to be in line with the structures of modern football.

“Our constitution is outdated. We can’t get sponsors.
“All the structures will meet on May 28 specifically for this process. We’ll then bring the draft back to the supporters. We’ll have our annual general meeting on June 25,” said Masuku.

The old constitution recognises all structures that include the elders and patrons. However, the proposed amendments will be discussed during the May 28 meeting.

Meanwhile, following a ban of patrons and elders by the Premier League of Swaziland (PLS) in the past week, reports suggest directors of the team will meet the affected structures to map a way forward this week.
