LOBAMBA –Siyabonga ‘Msholozi’ Mdluli has joined Mbabane Swallows.

The sturdy Green Mamba and former Sihlangu centre-back, who was in the ‘wildenerness’ following  his suspension by the security forces ensemble in the past year, is among the glamour giants’ latest acquisitions ahead of the CAF Confederation Cup group stages.

He featured for his new team alongside the duo of Midas City central defender, Ndumiso ‘Tower’ Ndaba, and Tambuti grafter, Gabriel Goshen, in an international practice match against South Africa’s third-tier outfit, Acornbush United, at Somhlolo National Stadium yesterday.

While Swallows are working around the clock to register the players ahead of the group opener against Tunisia’s CS Sfaxien on Saturday, indications are that they will feature in the next match against South Africa’s Platinum Stars on May 23 at Somhlolo National Stadium.

Green Mamba CEO Thami Phakathi, said ‘Msholozi’ was released to red and white ensemble following fruitful negotiations with club president, Isaiah Mzuthini Ntshangase. He said the move was mainly for the CAF campaign.

“Swallows are now representing the country, so giving them a player is way of showing support,” said Phakathi.
Midas City Director, Polycarp Dlamini, also confirmed releasing ‘Tower’ to the capital city giants, but said talks were still ongoing.
“We’ve released the player to train with Swallows as our season is over. We’ll release a statement if they will be further developments,” said Dlamini.
