MBABANE – Referees from Burundi will be in charge of the first leg CAF Confederations Cup game between Congo-Brazzaville’s AC Leopards and Mbabane Swallows.

The game is billed for next Sunday (April 9) according to the CAF website. The referee is Pacifique Ndabihawenimana, while the first assistant is Jean Claude Birumushahu and the second assistant is Hervé Kakunze

Swallows acting CEO Sibusiso Manana said the game will be played at the home ground of AC Leopard at Stade Denis Sassou Nguesso Stadium next Sunday, kick-off 3pm. Manana confirmed that they received correspondence from the National Football Association of Swaziland (NFAS) concerning the dates and venue of the match.

Meanwhile, Mbabane Swallows’ MTN Premier League pending game against Moneni Pirates that was scheduled for tomorrow has been called off.

Manana said they requested to focus on their training programme to prepare for the CAF Confederations play-offs.
Swallows will not be in action this weekend as it is the SwaziBank Cup where they were knocked out by National First Division League side Matsapha United.

The team is likely to be engaged in friendly matches.
