GREEN MAMBA NET MOST GOALS

MANZINI – Out of the 19 goals scored in yesterday’s Esibayeni Lodge Under-17 League games, Green Mamba were the highest scorers.

The Correctional Services side crushed Mbabane Swallows 5-1 at the Manzini Club, the biggest score the latter has got in the league this season. Other high scorers were Mbabane Highlanders and Royal Leopard, whose game ended 3-all at the Trade Fair Ground.

Moneni Pirates were also beaten 0-3 by Tambuti. Back-on-top Manzini Wanderers managed to beat Red Lions 2-0 in the hub derby played at UNISWA Sports Ground in Kwaluseni. Noteworthy is that only Midas City and Manzini Sea Birds failed to produce goals as their match ended goalless.

“The league is nearing its end and all the teams are fighting for all the points. It’s interesting at the top as clearly, Wanderers and Buffaloes are taking it down to the wire before the champions are known,” said PLS Development PRO Dumisani ‘DU’ Sibandze.

He also thanked the parents, coaches, elite players and friends of the players who come to watch the games weekly, saying soon enough these will be the same players they call their heroes in the national team, Sihlangu.
