MBABANE – Former Mbabane Swallows striker Mike Mohammed hogged the headlines after his now famous Man of the Match victory speech on television when he thanked his wife and girlfriend.

The player had scored a brace at his new team Free State Stars’ 2-all draw with Ajax Cape Town in the Absa Premiership game at Athlone Stadium in Cape Town on Friday night.
The interview had gone viral yesterday in all formal and social media forums.
The United Kingdom tabloid The Sun online described the Ghanaian’s speech the best by any Man of the Match winner.

The player had been rightly awarded the Man of the Match award for rescuing a point for his new team Free State Stars on Friday night in the Absa Premiership match.
The player, who was live on television, quickly realised the mistake and tried to swallow what he had said by thanking his wife to the point of telling her live on TV that he loved her.
The incident occurred at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town.

He apologised for the error. The player has scored three goals since joining the Bethlehem-based ensemble.
It was Stars who scored first in the 18th minute, as Anas fired home a hard shot after a poor clearance from goalkeeper Ajax goalkeeper Jody February.
Ajax equalised in the 32nd minute through Mark Mayambela. The Cape Town side further took the lead on the stroke of half-time as Kabwe latched onto Margeman’s flick on, before calmly slotting past Free States Stars goalkeeper Thela Ngobeni, making it 2-1.

Anas came on top again when he scored the equaliser with only 15 minutes remaining before full-time.
The Ghanaian forward did not enjoy much game time at Mbabane Swallows as he fell third in the striking force pecking order behind Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa and Sandile Hlatshwako.
