MBABANE – Steve Hall Development Consultants have taken part in the development of tennis in the country.

They have sponsored over 35 juniors, who are currently training in Ezulwini Royal Swazi tennis courts.
Hall, who is the Director, presented a cheque of E15 000 to Mohamed Fears, who is the coach and manager at the club. Fears said not only the Ezulwini players will benefit but he also hopes to visit areas including Mhlume and Mpaka. He said part of the package will also be used in hosting a tournament, which is scheduled for next month. “The funds  will be used in purchasing the development equipment, including rackets, tennis balls and nets and   there are tournaments to be hosted with the first one  billed for next month as the dates are yet to be confirmed,” he said.

Fears thanked Steve Hall for coming on board and joining hands in improving the sport in the country. He said a lot of children will benefit under the sponsorship and this will also raise the standard of playing.
“Sports play a vital role in kids as they grow up. They learn to compete and also enjoy playing sports and it is the best thing for them,” he said.

Hall, a former soccer player said this was part of their corporate social responsibility. Hall once played for Bhunya Black Aces and he is the father to 2011 All Africa Games swimmer Luke Hall. He said in the past, they have financially assisted organisations including swimming, Brave Lions and Mhlumeni rest camp.
