‘PHINDRIX’ HAT-TRICK CONDEMNS SEA BIRDS IN 5-0 MAMBA WIN

LOBAMBA – A second half hat-trick by brilliant Green Mamba striker Phinda ‘Phindrix’ Dlamini summed up a bad season for Manzini Sea Birds.

This was in an MTN Premier League game at the Somhlolo National Stadium yesterday. After falling 2-0 to same side in first round, Green Mamba were in the mood for revenge.

Both teams started like a house on fire displaying a quick pass and move kind of football. It was a must win for Sea Birds but Green Mamba had also come for revenge. In the 6th minute Sea Birds had a long range effort go just wide before another was cleared before the danger in the end 12th.

However, this being end to end, Green Mamba’s Mcebo Mdluli let fly a powerful shot from six yards to score for his side.
This was after 21 minutes of play in the game largely dominated by Green Mamba.
His teammate Phinda ‘Phindrix’ Dlamini nodded in a second in the 61st thanks to a beautiful cross by midfielder Mxolisi Mkhontfo on the right wing.

Completely dominant in the second half, Green Mamba toyed with Sea Birds and it was no surprise that impressive winger Muhle Shiba added a third a few minutes later.
This was after Phindrix had just shot over the bar in what was the miss of the day after he had left keeper Siyabonga Simelane behind him. Nonetheless, Phindrix soldiered on and missed a couple more half chances but completed his brace in the 76th before bagging a hat-trick in th 85th when he got the keeper out of goal before chipping it in.
