MATSAPHA – Thubenhle Maziya maintained his dominance over his brother Thuthukani Maziya in the Under-18 category of the Swaziland Building Society (SBS) junior’s tournament yesterday.

The 17-year old won 6-4, 6-0 to complete a brace against his brother whom he also defeated last year in September in another SBS juniors tournament final.
He dedicates his work to his training while Thuthukani said he did not train enough for the tournament due to school commitments.
“It was a tough game but I’m happy I won again. I trained hard for the tournament even though I feel I could have done better,” he said.
This was the last tournament for the juniors as the Swaziland National Tennis Association (SNTA) calendar year end of month end.

Presenting the winner were SBS Managing Director Timothy Nhleko and SNTA President Maxwell Jele.
The tournament was played for over two days at the University of Swaziland (UNISWA) Kwaluseni tennis courts.

In the girl’s under-18, Tibusiso Ntshangagse, who played against Luching Sorokhaibam, went home with the first prize. Luching retired in the second set.

Meanwhile, Hayden Loffler stole the show in the Under-14 category when he beat Mukelwa Maziya 7-5, 6-2 to be crowned the champions. The game lived up to the expectation as both players gave each other tough time.
