‘BULL’, TAMBUTI IN RELEGATION BATTLE

MBABANE – Mbabane Highlanders are out to avoid being pushed into the relegation trapdoor when they visit fellow strugglers Tambuti in a relegation six-pointer in Big Bend.

With six games to spare, both sides are on 14 points and they are in the bottom four. The need for either side to bag maximum points cannot overstated as Red Lions, who are in the drop zone on 12 points, are breathing heavily down their necks.

Red Lions face stuttering Royal Leopard.  While Highlanders, who are ahead of Tambuti on superior goal difference, convincingly won the reverse fixture by 4-0, they will be wary as the opposition beat them by 2-1 in the Ingwenyama Cup quarter-finals in January.

Tambuti, who are the new knockout ‘specialists’  will be minus suspended talisman in burly forward, Ugochukwu Ohakwe, and striker  Roy Mamba, but it will be no excuse for a lacklustre display as they have plenty of options in attack. Players who can fill the void include Fabrice Mopina and Zwakele Dlamini. They will also hope to capitalise on the home ground advantage as they are invincible at the sometimes bumpy Mayaluka turf. It is a tricky outing for the visitors, but they hope to build on their improved performance in the SwaziBank Cup.
