Sithawula appears in court in a questionable state of sobriety MANZINI – Mbabane Swallows fan Linda ‘Sithawula’ Tsela, who is alleged to have stabbed a man during a buganu drinking session, almost had his matter not heard by the court after his state of sobriety became questionable.

Public Prosecutor Fakazi Mngomezulu was informed that Tsela was not fit to stand trial as he was alleged to be still under the influence of alcohol.
When his docket and charge sheet were eventually brought before court, he entered the courtroom accompanied by a uniformed officer.

Tsela appeared before Magistrate Mthokozisi Dlamini after he was arrested and charged with assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The charge sheet stated that the suspect on March 1, 2017 at Mbikwakhe, assaulted one Mandla Shongwe by stabbing him once in the back and arm with a knife, with intent to cause him grievous bodily harm.

Mngomezulu informed the court that Tsela should not be admitted to bail as the complainant was still in a critical condition at the RFM Hospital.
Tsela was remanded back in custody until March 9, 217 pending the recovery of the complainant.
