SWAZIBANK CUP KICKOFF NEXT WEEKEND

MANZINI – The fun is here as the best cup competition in the country; SwaziBank Cup, will kick off next weekend.

The good news was confirmed by the National Football Association of Swaziland (NFAS) CEO Frederick Mngomezulu.
“According to the calendar, SwaziBank should kick-off next weekend and we are hoping things will go as planned. However, tomorrow we will be meeting with the relevant stakeholders to discuss further details about the launch of the tournament,” Mngometulu said.

Meanwhile, the tournament’s spo-nsor has to kick-start the festivities of the competition and hold a pre-launch activation in Mbabane and Manzini.
SwaziBank PRO Phesheya Vilakati said this year’s tournament would be bigger and more exciting.

“The activation is only the beginning; this is only to create the hype that comes with this tournament of this high magnitude. This is the time of the season which the soccer-loving nation has been looking forward to-SwaziBank Cup, they will feel it,” said Vilakati.

Seven models wearing SwaziBank branded soccer kits were spotted in Mbabane and Manzini mall doing a warm-up exercises and ball juggling. The models include Miss Tourism Nadia Nascimento, Face models in Nowie Dlamini, Sasha Thorne (All Stars), to mention a few.
The models gave away promotional items to the amused public who watched their wonderful displays at the Bhunu Mall (Manzini) and Shoprite at Swazi Plaza (Mbabane).

The SwaziBank Cup is contested for by 32 teams and the winner carries the ticket to the CAF Confederations Cup. Mbabane Swallows are the defending champions of this annual cup.
They will play Botswana’s Orapa United in the second leg of the continental tournament. They beat Orapa United 1-0 in the first leg in Botswana.
