MBABANE – Scorer of the all-important away and winning goal in Botswana for Mbabane Swallows, Wonder ‘Samba Jive’ Nhleko is battling with injury ahead of second leg tie this Saturday.

He joins goal-a-game striker Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa in the club’s casualty ward even though the nature of his injury was yet to be established – the latter even missed the Total CAF Confederations Cup first leg tie against Orapa United in Francistown last Saturday.

Swallows are hopeful the duo will be fit for the second leg clash on Saturday at the Somhlolo National Stadium.
Nhleko handed Umkhonto KaShaka the 1-0 win late in the game which was very closely contested.

“Wonder has an injury as he finished the match limping badly in Botswana. He is currently being attended to medically. Also out injured is Sikhali who had to miss the first leg but they are being attended to,” confirmed Swallows’ CEO Sibusiso Manana yesterday on national radio SBIS’ Morning Sport Show.

He said that Orapa were a very good team after their performance last Saturday in spite of losing the game. He insisted that he would be lying if he did not admit Orapa were a good side. Other than these two, he said they were back preparing for the second leg in which they must finish the job and head for Tanzania.

Called later about the situation of the players, he said there was not much detail at the time especially because he was also not at the training ground. On a positive note, he passed their utmost gratitude to the Swazis who drove all the way to paint Francistown red and white and cheered the players all the way through until they delivered victory. He appealed for more support now that they were home; assuring that ‘Van Damme’ cannot be killed in his own backyard.
