MBABANE – Charity begins at home. This serves true for the much-anticipated Prince Majaha Sports Charity Cup which is set to feature in its soccer category the well adored South Africa’s Bafana legends mostly dominated by the ‘Class of 96’.

It is only last week that he went public about his vision to help the less privileged in the country and appealed for any kind of donation from members of the public but he already has a cow in the bag. Interestingly, the donation comes from former SNC member Senanile Nkosi.

She donated a cow and two goats to the event and further hailed the prince for his selflessness in always considering the plight of the needy.
“I was encourage by the action of the prince to put the lives of the needy as a priority. It shows that we can now leave this world in peace, knowing that the future of the country is in people who care about vulnerable and destitute people,” he said.
Her grandson Njobo Nkosi who is doing public relations for the prince’s charity event said;

“She is like the queen mother to Majaha, a grandmother so she felt it would boost the charity initiative if she also lent a hand. She also believes that if they also contribute towards it, it was likely to get the response it requires from everyone else out there.”

He said that Prince Majaha was touched by the gesture as it gave him the confidence that his initiative was a step in the right direction. He said the prince intended having other sporting disciplines like basketball and athletics among others as well as jumping castles for children as this will be a family day.

In the football front, local legends will compete in their various social clubs with prior to the main day in April. The champion from the social soccer tournament will then face Bafana’s legends on main day.
