MBABANE – Matsapha United look to return to winning ways when they host former Premier League side Hub Sundowns tonight.

The National First Division League ‘team of the moment’ are eager to shake off second-placed Malanti Chiefs, who are now breathing heavily down their neck, after a setback in the 1-2 loss to Mbabane Citizens in the last outing.  The sides are separated by a point after 14 rounds of matches.

A major shake-up after the shocking result was headlined by the sideling of head coach Mathews ‘Chaka Chaka’ Mandlazi.
Zimbabwe-born Saul Chaminuka, who was an assistant coach, is said to have assumed the hot seat, while South Africa’s top mentor, Mlungisi ‘Professor’ Ngubane, is still heavily linked with the side.

Chaminuka was away in Gabon with the Zimbabwe national team, that got eliminated in the group stages of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
He reportedly arrived in the country around 5pm yesterday. Physical trainer, Mbaya Katala, was keeping the fires burning since the suspension of ‘Chaka Chaka’ early this month.

Matsapha will be out to prove that they remain focused despite the obstacle in the last fixture.
They beat Hub by 2-0 in the reverse fixture on November 6 last year.
The latter are in the drop zone, but will be motivated to face a team that has lost their last two matches in all competitions.
