NTOMBINI SHINES IN WINDHOEK QUALIFIERS
(At Mbabane Golf Club)
MBABANE – Golfer Wandile Ntombini puts himself in a good stance to make a return to Namibia to defend the Windhoek Lager Africa Jacket Golf championships.
This was after emerging on top a field of 60 golfers yesterday to card a gross of 69 during the first edition of the qualifiers held at Mbabane Golf Club.
He is leading the B Division after being the overall winner of the qualifying tournament.
“It was tough but there is still a lot of work to do. As a defending champion, I had to work hard and make sure that I represent the country again in Namibia,” he said.
Coming second was Xolani Dlamini on 70 points while Vuyo Dlamini was third on 71 points.
The A and B Division played a gross medal while C Division and the ladies played on a stabelford format.
Ntombini is now leading the B Division on 79.
