MANZINI – Reigning Esibayeni Lodge Under-17 League champions Young Buffaloes are a complete team but their winger Likhwa Manyatsi is a natural talent – a rare breed!

The 17-year-old, who already boasts two Player of the Series Awards in this league and SwaziBank Cup, has it all – from talent, skill, physique and technique. He is just way too much for his Under-17 rivals.
Already leading the top scorers’ chart this season, Manyatsi increased his tally from 13 to 16 yesterday as they outfoxed Moneni Pirates 5-0 at the neglected Trade Fair Ground, which is surrounded by bushy plants and grass all round the pitch and grandstands.

The least mentioned about the overgrown grass inside the pitch the better. He also surpassed MTN Premier League top scorer in Mbabane Swallows’ Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa, who has 15 league goals.
Despite all these conditions, it was a lively game in which both sides showed some talent but Buffaloes oozed class and confidence.

After a goalless first half, the goals started coming in the second half with Manyatsi making it 2-0 in the 65th minute before putting things beyond a fighting Pirates in the 78th and then finished his hat-trick four minutes from time.
His teammate and striker Siphesihle Nsimbini opened the scoring in the 53rd before hitting the last nail into the Pirates coffin in the 88th in front of a reasonable crowd of an estimated 100 fans.
The win saw Buffaloes retain their four-point lead at the summit as second-placed Manzini Wanderers were too much for Tambuti, mauling them 6-1.

Among the crowd were elite players mostly from Young Buffaloes in the likes of goalkeeper Nhlanhla Gwebu, Timothy ‘Timo’ Mathonsi, retired Manqoba ‘Dunga’ Kunene and coach Velekhaya Mthethwa to name a few.
