LOBAMBA – Lwandle Mkhwanazi’s hat-trick ensured that Mbabane Swallows leapfrog Royal Leopard on the third spot of the Esibayeni Lodge Under 17 League.

The 16-year-old lanky striker scored a brace in the first 45 minutes and again after resumption, he was on target to ensure his side triumph 3-2 against the police ensemble, in a game played yesterday at Somhlolo National Stadium.
The win lifts Swallows to the third spot with 24 points after 13 outings with Leopard sinking two places down the ladder on 22 points after Green Mamba beat Moneni Pirates 3-2 to take the fourth spot.

The blue and white ensemble came into this game oozing with confidences following their 11-0 emphatic win to struggling Midas City over the weekend.
However, they were brought to earth by the youthful red and white ensemble.

The game started like a house on fire with both sides creating clear-cut chances but it was the visitors who drew first blood. Mkhwanazi was set for goal by Thulizwe Dube in the 17th minute and upon reaching the danger zone, he unleashed a rasping shot that beat Mnofto Mbingo across the poles.

Mkhwanazi doubled matters three minutes later through a close range volley to give his side a healthy lead.
The host reduced the deficit just after the half hour mark through Sabelo Tsabedze. He headed home a curling cross from Colani Nzima.
The Nathi Magagula-led charges continued where they left off after resumption as they made it 3-0 just three minutes into the re-start. Mkhwanazi completed his hat-trick after taking the defenders on a solo run before he let loose a thunderbolt shot that gave the man on the poles no chance.
