IT COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE

Greetings Mkhonto KaShaka, greetings Nqolebovu Kamasizila, sanibonani Swai Swai, hello to you all beautiful Birds on this lovely Friday.

As per my promise to you Swai Swai, we are through to the finals of the Castle Premier Challenge Cup – again. You have got to take a bow for this amazing team.

This is our fourth straight Castle Premier Challenge final. We have won it twice and we are looking at making it three times. It will really take something extraordinary special for the clubs to eclipse this record.
As a team, we remain humble in our quest to dominate local football and also go on to leave a mark in the international scene.  We are the only side to have reached all finals of this Top 8 tournament since it was launched four years ago. We intend defending this trophy.

Although a lot has been said about our derby win last Sunday, the truth of the matter is that it could have been worse for our opponents. In fact, the brutal truth, which many people hate to admit; is that we are not in the same league as our rivals.
We had to make it clear once and for all that we are not in their class. We are in our own league and the boys could not have done it so emphatically even though I do feel we could have easily doubled the 3-1 score.

We certainly had the chances to do that.
All in all, our opponents should thank their lucky stars for such a respectable scoreline. We do hope that the past Sunday’s result will put things into perspective and people will know where they stand. We are so happy our boys did the talking inside the field of play and man, weren’t they amazing.
