LOBAMBA – Mbabane Highlanders and Manzini Wanderers marshals were involved in a fight over dressing rooms before yesterday’s Castle Premier Challenge clash at Somhlolo National Stadium.

Wanderers occupied their normal dressing rooms but Highlanders, who were hosts in the match, opted to go for the same change rooms, something that did not go down well with Wanderers marshals.
A little scuffle unfolded but members of the Royal Swaziland Police were quick in separating the two parties.
In the end, Highlanders were granted their wish by virtue of being host.

Highlanders coach Meck Mwase has pleaded with his team’s supporters to be patient as he works on what he termed a completely different team.
Highlanders edged Wanderers 3-1 in the quarter-final match after extra time to book a semi-final place in the Castle Premier Challenge.

Highlanders, who were only playing their second game of the season following their SwaziTelecom Charity Cup semi-final defeat to Royal Leopard, paraded an almost completely new team from the past campaign following the departure of a few key players who include Sabelo ‘Sawa’ Gamedze, Vusumuzi Zungu and the Tsabedze twins Lungelo and Fanelo, among others.

The Malawian mentor admitted yesterday’s win never came on a silver platter as Wanderers never made things easy for them.
“We are coming from a defeat and we are working with a different new team from last season. The new signings impressed and supporters would have to be patient as we rebuild the team again,” he said.
