MBABANE - Newly-appointed Malawi national team care taker coach Nsazurwimo Ramadhan have given Sihlangu no chance in the do-or-die AFCON 2016 Qualifiers match.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is billed for September 4 at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre, Malawi. Kick-off 3:00pm. Ramadhan said he is looking for nothing but a win against the Harries ‘Madze’ Bulunga-led side. “This is for the nation and what I want is to win against Swaziland to meet the expectations of Malawians and I don’t take it as a formality match,” Ramadhan told Nyasa Times reporters.

He said people should not weigh his capabilities based on the game against Swaziland. “I have been a coach for so many years, I have experience but people should not judge me and my entire technical panel on the Swaziland game, we know our job,” he said.

He revealed that both local and foreign players who were performing better stood a chance to be called into camp ahead of the clash. “I cannot mention names but both local and foreign players who have been performing well will be considered for the match” he said.

This is a must-win match for Sihlangu as they look to brighten their  prospects of qualifying for the AFCON Finals to be hosted in Gabon early next year. The national team is expected to commence full-time camp on Sunday after the Castle Premier Challenge quarter-finals on Saturday and Sunday.

National Football Association of Swaziland (NFAS) Marketing and Communications Officer Muzi Radebe said they xpect all the players to be called-up to start the training camp with the team on Sunday after the games. Sihlangu coach Bulunga will announce his squad today at 1pm. “The NFAS, therefore, kindly request employers of these players to release them for this significant assignment,” Radebe said.
Most of the Sihlangu players are from Mbabane Swallows and Royal Leopard, teams that have dominated local competitions in the past seasons.
