LOBAMBA – After beating a resilient Mbabane Highlanders 2-1 earlier on the day, defending champions Young Buffaloes’ forward Likhwa Manyatsi said he wanted Mbabane Swallows in the final tomorrow.

And Swallows it will be today at 2pm.
Swallows scored a late equaliser to force their match with rivals Manzini Wanderers to penalties.
Wanderers were also parading former Red Lions Under-20 coach, Percy Shongwe, in front of a good crowd from all three big teams in particular.

The full-time score was 1-1 with Wanderers conceding through a mistake by their goalkeeper Nkosenhle Dlamini, who had put up a man of the match performance until three minutes from time when he was beaten.
Scoring for Wanderers was winger Lungelo Mawelela in the 72nd minute after he pounced on a rebound from a parried initial shot by midfielder Mfanzile Mdluli. Switched to the front in search for that all important equaliser, central defender Dumisa Tsabedze nodded one home after second half substitute, Thulizwe Dube stole the ball right under the nose of the goalkeeper.

In the shoot-out, Swallows have their goalkeeper to thank as he made a sterling save while the other came off the post. His teammates scored four to win it 4-1 on penalties and 5-2 overall. The win just endorsed Buffaloes’ star Manyatsi’s wish while Swallows had also wanted another shot against the dominant forces’ side.

It was Buffaloes who denied Swallows this title last year, which makes it an interesting game, the former also beating their rivals in the league. The first semi-final between Buffaloes and Highlanders proved a tough one as the former’s two first half goals were enough to take them through. Highlanders also scored in the first half, a minute after Buffaloes had got their second. Scoring for the black and white outfit was striker Manqoba Dlamini.
Sports, Youth and Culture Affairs Minister David ‘Cruiser’ Ngcamphalala also paid a brief visit to the games.
