MBABANE – Young Buffaloes Reserve League side have received a massive boost as they were given 25 pairs of soccer boots and 15 sheen pads by GJP Investment.

The consignment was delivered to the team during the final of the Under-20 SwaziBank Cup against Green Mamba, three weeks ago at Somhlolo National Stadium.

However, the official presentation was made yesterday at the Army Headquarters at Bethany to the club President and Army General Sobantu Dlamini, along with a couple of the club’s officials.

The sponsorship by the company is valued at E21 484 and was presented by Managing Director Johnny Bennet, who was accompanied by Human Resources Manager Sikelela Ndlovu.

Young Buffaloes MC Chairman Jabulani Dlamini and Vice Chairman Zakhele Kunene were also part of the presentation.
The club president hailed the company for its continued support to the army, especially to Young Buffaloes’ development teams.

“We note that this is the second sponsorship from the company to one of our development teams as they also presented the Under-17 with a full set of soccer jersey.

“We believe that our team was inspired by this gesture to conquer during the SwaziBank Cup final,” he said.
Bennet said his company has a long-standing relationship with the army and that they were excited at the performance shown by the club’s junior teams.
The army side young guns beat Green Mamba 3-1 to win the Under-20 version of the SwaziBank Cup.
