The 12-man squad to represent the country in next month’s 2016 CAA African Senior T&F Championships has upped its preparations and was expected to compete at the Polokwane Nite Series last night. The Athletics Association of Swaziland (AAS) secretary confirmed the results and said they were working on getting ‘Swazi Bolt’ to attend other competitions in Europe, thus he will not be part of the Polokwane Nite Series.

Final preparations to host the 2016 CAA African Senior T&F Championships, at the Kings Park Stadium in Durban, from 22-26 June 2016, began in all earnest last week. Athletics South Africa (ASA) in collaboration with the City of eThekwini will host the 2016 CAA  African Senior T&F Championships on behalf of the CAA (Confederation of African Athletics).

The CAA African Senior T&F Championships is the premier event of the CAA 2016 Athletics season and will play an important role in the preparation for the African countries for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in August.
