‘BULL’S LUNGELO BEST FRIENDS WITH THE NET
MBABANE – The MTN Premier League season 2015/16 has come and gone with Royal Leopard crowned champions for the third successive time.
That said, who of the elite stars visited the net 10 or more times? They are also rated out of 10 for their overall performance throughout the season, proving the difference for their clubs.
The Top Goalscorer’s Award carries a sum of E5 300 and a trophy and is set to be handed over to Mbabane Highlanders’ gifted twin Lungelo Tsabedze.
Find out who they are and how this author rated them; Lungelo Tsabedze
(Mbabane Highlanders) – 12 goals
Overall performance: He was not so prolific in the first round but his presence inside the field of play was often felt. It was no surprise he finished with four goals and they won the first round cheque of E300 000 as leaders.
His second round was phenomenal, single-handedly shouldering the club with captain Xolani ‘Chocco’ Sibandze losing his first round sting. He added eight more goals to finish as the league’s top scorer and was rather unfortunate not to win the championship.
– Rating: 9/10
Phinda ‘Phindrix Dlamini (Green Mamba) – 11 goals
Overall performance: His team did not have the best of seasons but this striker knows his football. He was a menace to his opponents and under coach Herbert Maruwa, he shone and scored goals that saw them earn a respectable 6th place finish given the situation they were in for the entire first round.
