LOBAMBA – Young Buffaloes striker Phiwa Dlamini’s devastating form has earned him E4 000 after being named September’s player of the month.

The 24-year-old aggressive forward has scored four goals to help his side record a 100 per cent start in the MTN Premier League.
Buffaloes are at the summit of the MTN Premier log standings with 12 points after four games.
Dlamini follows Royal Leopard’s Muzi ‘Mzoro’ Dlamini, who was the best player for the month of August.

He was presented with a replica cheque by MTN Brand and Sponsorship Manager Fisiwe Vilane and the Premier League of Swaziland (PLS) Chief Operations Officer (COO) Pat Vilakati yesterday at the Technical Centre, Lobamba.

Dlamini left the country with the national team, Sihlangu to Djibouti after the presentation.
He said he was happy that his contribution in his team had not gone unnoticed. He said he was working hard and looking forward to being the top goalscorer and the Player of the Year at the end of the season.

“Being named the player of the month motivates me to work even harder. I would like to thank my team-mates for their support. We play as a team and we support each other. I’m going to work hard and help the team win the league. We had a good start  to the season and we want to maintain that until the end,” Dlamini said.

He watched the team’s 1-0 win over Manzini Sundowns on Saturday on the stands as he was serving a one match ban after accumulating more than three yellow cards.
