EUROPEAN PROFESSIONALS FOR THE KING’S CUP GOLF

MBABANE – Nine Swazi professional golfers have entered for the King’s Cup Golf which is slated to start tomorrow.


The tournament will end on Saturday. The nine golfers will compete against over 60 professional golfers coming from all over the world. The locals include Middelburg Country Club junior golfer Gift Zulu, Mphitsi Gama, Arthur Horne, Raymond Mathonsi, Meshack Zwane (Royal Swazi Sun Golf Club), Moses Shongwe, (Mbabane Golf Club), Oscar Dube, Thulani Mkhaliphi and James Pennington (All unattached).


Some of the golfers who would be playing in the tournament come from countries including Portugal, Northern Ireland, Netherlands, South Africa, Kenya and Zimbabwe, among others.


The King’s Cup Golf’s Dan Zikalala said some of the professional golfers had already started arriving in the country. He said all was set for the tournament.


“The professional golfers have already started to arrive in the country and a majority is expected to arrive on Wednesday (today).
“The tournament is growing each and every year and we are happy that there are professional Swazis who would be representing the country,” he said.
