MBABANE – The involvement in football by the country’s authorities and government has seen Prime Minister Sibusiso Dlamini receiving a gift from Joma Sports, South Africa.

The gift, which is Joma merchandise, was presented to the premier at Cabinet Offices yesterday afternoon. Present when this happened was Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs Minister David ‘Cruiser’ Ngcamphalala.

PLS Brand Manager Lindiwe Matsenjwa did the honours on behalf of the South Africa-based company’s Director, Mpho Mngometulu.
“Joma had left the gift with us at PLS and asked that we present it to the PM. The company, which is renowned for sponsoring Manzini Wanderers in the country, is showing its appreciation for the evident involvement in the game,” Matsenjwa explained.

She said the gift comprised King’s Super Cup branded Joma merchandise as that was where the company felt they showed it to all and sundry that they were behind sports which unites the nation.

She said they also anticipated Joma’s return to the country’s elite football as sponsors of Wanderers again.
The premier thanked the PLS and Joma for the gesture before returning to Cabinet business. The Joma gifts were also presented to His Majesty and Ngcamphalala during the historic inaugural King’s Super Cup on July 18 at Somhlolo National Stadium.
