MBABANE – Manzini Wanderers went to sleep last night having ghosted their way to the top four of the now ever-changing Swazi Telecom Charity Cup voting process.

The ‘Weslians’, who started the day at position seven with 3 145 votes, pumped in over 12 000 votes to record 16 469 votes.
They had managed only 656 votes when the 4pm update was released to make 3 801 votes, but shot to over 16 000 votes by 8pm last night.

The club MC Chairman Sydney Nxumalo said they were doing everything possible to make the top four of the tournament and leapfrog Mbabane Highlanders who were fourth with 6 777 votes by 4pm.

“We are trying to pump in more votes, and we hope the morning update will reflect a huge leap for us in the voting chart,” he said.
The club has since convened an urgent meeting for its supporters to be held at the Trade Fair Ground at 2pm, where they have urged everyone to mobilise resources for voting.

Royal Leopard were the biggest movers though, pushing from position three to the summit of the chart above late afternoon leaders Mbabane Swallows and Young Buffaloes who were tied at 40 000 votes.

Voting closes at midnight today where the top four teams will play in the finals slated for this coming Sunday at Somhlolo National Stadium.
Mbabane Highlanders, who have missed the past two editions, have also vowed to make it this time, but late last night votes showed that they were now about 10 000 votes from the qualifying top four spot.
