FOUR SCHOOLS THROUGH TO SCARA THINDWA SEMIS

MBABANE – Four primary schools are through to the semi-finals of the Scara Thindwa Soccer Foundation/ MTN Schools Under-15 tournament.


They will battle it out for the E50 000 first prize at stake. The quartet are Ntondozi, who are the defending champions, Mpakeni, John Wesley and Hlutse.
The semi-finals would be played next Wednesday.


Three of the games, played in all the four regions, were decided after penalties. John Wesley won 3-0 against Mangedla after penalties and Hlutsi also got the better of Mabodvweni 7-6 after the shoot-out. Mpakeni also had it tough against Nhlangano Central as they won 4-2 after penalties. It was the defending champions, Ntondozi who won 4-0 against Hillside.


Swaziland Schools Sports Association (SSSA) PRO Victor ‘Mavikane’ Dlamini said they were happy that all the games were played under no disturbance.


He said they were now looking forward to the finals next week. The Scara Thindwa Soccer Foundation’s Thoba Mazibuko said the four schools that went through to the semi-finals will each receive soccer-boots.
The tournament is sponsored to the tune of E350 000 by MTN Swaziland.
