‘BOMBER’, FREDERICK SCOOP CAF POSTS
MBABANE – The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has once again given recognition to the country by appointing Football Association (FA) President Adam ‘Bomber’ Mthethwa and CEO Frederick Mngomezulu into its committees.
Mthethwa and Mngomezulu were both named as members of two of CAF’s committees, being the; Organising Committee for the U-20 African Championship and the Marketing and TV Committee, respectively.
The Organising Committee has 14 people and its President is Amadou Diakite of Mali, while Democratic Republic of Congo’s (DRC) Constant Omari Selemani is his deputy. Mngomezulu’s committee is chaired by Tunisia’s Tarek Bouchamaoui and his Vice is Suketu Patel from Seychelles. It is made up of 13 members.
“We have received the correspondence from CAF for the appointments into the two committees and we’re so grateful for the recognition. We thank CAF for believing we can add something to make us members of the committees,” Mngomezulu said.
He said for Mthethwa it was nothing new as he has always been in the various CAF Committees depending on where his expertise was required.
