MBABANE - Sihlangu have been forced to share a training pitch with their opponents in Group B, Lesotho ahead of the teams’ clash on Wednesday.
Currently in South Africa for the regional COSAFA Cup, the nation’s pride is booked at the Orion Safari Lodge in the heart of Rustenburg.

Rustenburg, with a population of slightly above 120 000 is abuzz, as it hosts 14 countries for the tournament, whose winners will take home E500 000. Lesotho, the squad’s opponents in Wednesday’s game slated for the Moruleng Stadium, are also booked at the same lodge.

The game will kick off at 7.30pm. Moruleng Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in the village of Lesetlheng, a small mining community located approximately 60km from Rustenburg in the North West. The stadium has a carrying capacity of 20 000.  Sihlangu head coach, Harries ‘Madze’ Bulunga said they had no choice but to share the training venue with their opponents. He, however, noted that this will do little to shift their focus.
“The good thing is that at this stage, we do not need so many training sessions. It will be crucial for the players to rest as much as possible in between games. Like today (yesterday), we only trained once in the morning to give Lesotho a chance to train in the afternoon.

“We will also train once tomorrow (today) in the morning and allow the players to rest for the better part of the day ahead of Monday’s game against Tanzania,” said Bulunga.
He has travelled with a squad made up of 21 players.
