MBABANE – Prime Minister Sibusiso Barnabas Dlamini has heaped praises on SwaziBank for its magical turnaround.

The premier, speaking yesterday and in his usual bubbly self at the Cabinet offices during the financial institution’s kit presentation to Cabinet, said SwaziBank has grown in leaps and in bounds over the years, it has been an inspiration and a source of pride for the nation. The premier, who is expected to be barking orders from the technical bench as head coach of the Cabinet XI, also vowed to take matters into his own hands and score a goal on Sunday.
The Cabinet team will raise the curtain on Sunday during the SwaziBank Cup ‘Ngiyo Ngiyo’ final by locking horns with a combined SwaziBank, PLS/FA select side before the main clash between Manzini Wanderers against Moneni Pirates.

“It has been time since the bank has been here. It was His Majesty’s dream for Swazis to have their own bank. First the bank was known as the Credit and Savings, then Swaziland Savings and Development. The first Swazi MD was at the SwaziBank and clearly they have led the way because as we speak today all the banks are being managed by Swazis,” he said. Dlamini then made special mention of the brains behind the tournament, the late Managing Director Stanely Matsebula for his role in the development of the bank.

Some Cabinet ministers present during the function included Public Works’ Pastor Lindiwe Dlamini, Tourism and Environmental Affairs’ Jabulani Mabuza, Home Affairs’ Princess Tsandzile, Education and Training’s Phineas Magagula, Health’s Sibongile Simelane, Justice’s Sibusiso Shongwe, Economic Planning and Development’s Prince Hlangusemphi and Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs’ David ‘Cruiser’ Ngcamphalala.
