MBABANE – The quartet of Mbabane Swallows, Manzini Sundowns, Mbabane Highlanders and Moneni Pirates has received byes to the SwaziBank Cup quarter-finals.

Manzini Sundowns are the defending champions of the two-year old tournament they won in its inaugural year last year. They were under the guidance of Penuel Malinga, who is, however, no longer with the club. This is by virtue of their standings on the Premier League of Swaziland (PLS) Reserve League.

The four currently sit on top of the pile and will not be involved in the tournament’s preliminaries that start next Saturday. According to the fixture programme released by the SwaziBank Cup Management Committee (MC) yesterday, the games will be played at the Manzini Club and at Somhlolo National Stadium.

Police ensemble Royal Leopard will square up against Sea Birds next Saturday at the Manzini Club. Kick off time is 9am. Army side Young Buffaloes will meet Pigg’s Peak based Malanti Chiefs at 11am.

On Saturday at Somhlolo National Stadium, Correctional Services side Green Mamba host Red Lions at 11am. On Sunday at the same venue, Manzini Wanderers, who are under the guidance of Zimbabwean lady coach Zenzile Mpofu, will host RSSC United at 11 am.
